We do not currently have

We do not currently have Vivado Board Definition Files for PicoZed SDR.

We do have TCL scripts for setting up the PS7 for everything hardwired on the SOM. The scripts sets up PS7 peripherals, DDR3L trace delays, clock/PLL settings, etc. for the SOM only (no carrier peripherals).

There are also PS7 customization scripts for our carriers. All of this is available on the Analog Devices GitHub repository, where they keep all source code for their PicoZed SDR reference design.

https://github.com/analogdevicesinc/hdl

For example, below you can see the master (common) scripts for the SOM:

Error: Specified part could not be found

Hi Matt,
I have the PicoZed SDR dev kit and I am getting the below error when running the ADI TCL scripts for the PicoZed SDR:

# adi_project_create ccfmc_pzsdr

WARNING: [Device 21-436] No parts matched 'xc7z035ifbg676-2L'

ERROR: [Coretcl 2-106] Specified part could not be found.

INFO: [Common 17-206] Exiting Vivado at Tue Oct 11 17:04:27 2016...

It seems that Vivado does not have the XC7035 part used on the PicoZed SDR. How do I make that part known to Vivado?

Many thanks!

Logan

Hello Idsorenson,

Hello Idsorenson,

By chance are you using Vivado WebPack? Vivado WebPack only supports Zynq 7010 - 7030 devices. Refer to link below, page 15.

http://www.xilinx.com/support/documentation/sw_manuals/xilinx2015_4/ug97...

Downloading the Vivado Design Suit should solve your issue.

Yes, thanks Josh, that was

Yes, thanks Josh, that was the issue.
It looks like we need a full Vivado Design Suite to work with the PicoZed SDR?
It seems strange that the PicoZed SDR kit doesn't come with the device-locked voucher like other Avnet Zedboard/FPGA kits (or am I mistaken on that?).
I am on an evaluation license for now.

Running TCL scripts

Hi ldsorenson,
How to run these tcl scripts ?
Do we have to use VisualDSP++ ?
And are these script files going to provide PicoZed 7035 SOM option in Vivado or these are to be used when PicoZed board is connected for online configuration ?

Hell Idsorenson,
