I have a MicroZed and the board usb connector has separated from the board and can no longer provide power :( Is there any other way to power the board?

Hello Ray,

Hello Ray,

As discussed in the MicroZed HW Users Guide in section 2.1 you can power the MicroZed via the JX MicroHeaders when plugged into a Carrier Card that supports this, such as the MicroZed FMC Carrier Card or MicroZed IOCC Carrier Card. There is also the option to populate a barrel jack as discussed in section 2.1 of the HW Users Guide as well:

"Populate J4 barrel jack and use a 5V AC/DC supply rated for the projected current demand AND install the capacitors C212, C217, and C218."

The MicroZed HW Users Guide can be downloaded here:

I'm not sure if I should ask

I'm not sure if I should ask this question here, is the microZed still available. When I go to purchase I get to look at the picoZed options but no microZed options. I ask because I might have ruined the microZed I have and need a new board to continue development.

Hi Ray,

Hi Ray,

No problem asking here. Yes the MicroZed is still available and will be for some time. We are currently changing our 'backend' software and this has made ordering online and accurate lead times an issue during the system changeover.

Please call and request a quote for a more accurate availability. Sorry for the inconvenience.

I have run into a block, I can't get Serial debug data from the device. I have a tcp stack that I can get debug info from, but only after the stack is up and running. You said to call, I can't find a number to call to get a quote?

Sorry to be such a bother.

If you go to the MicroZed

If you go to the MicroZed product page ( http://zedboard.org/product/microzed ) and click the 'Buy' button it will take you to a list of products. Select the MicroZed version you want (make sure not to select a PicoZed or other board) and it should take you to a page where you can request a quote. You can log in there and request online, or you can contact your local branch office, or click the 'Contact Avnet" link near the bottom of the page.

I did find that page, i guess

I did find that page, i guess some elements were added since I looked last. I got a quote and there are zero available and a 64 day lead time. I will probably be off the project if I can't find a quicker answer.
