Vivado 2017.2 board definition

I have not found how to add a microzed board definition to Vivado 2017.2. Does that information exist?

Hello Lambiase,

Hello Lambiase,

Please downloadl the "MicroZed Board Definition Install for Vivado 2015.3, 2015.4, 2016.1, 2016.2, 2016.3, 2016.4" from here http://zedboard.org/support/documentation/1519

This Board Definition File is the same one that should be used in Vivado 2017.2. The only difference is you must install it in your Vivado 2017.2 directory.

Thanks,

Josh

Definition Struction

Hi Josh,
Thanks for your help, but that didn't work.
In previous versions, the board definition would be read from the "boards\board_files" directory under "data".
Vivado 2017.2 has a different structure.  It does not have a "boards" subdirectory under "data".
Instead it reads the board definitions from VivadoHls_boards.xml.  This one file contains information on all the boards it lists.
This has similar information as with the xml files with the earlier versions, but with a different structure.
I don't know how to make this conversion.

Hello Bob,

Hello Bob,

Thanks for the information. I was under the assumption it was all the same. I will install Vivado 2017.2 today and investigate this issue.

Thanks Josh,

Thanks Josh,
I see now where I made my mistake.  I was confusing Vivado (where I had an old version) and Vivado HLS, which is newly installed.
You were a great help, and this solved the problem.
